Sourced from Khewra-Choa Saidan Shah, Kohat & Quetta

Bare Syndicate's gypsum rock is sourced from three geologically distinct Pakistani provinces. The Khewra-Choa Saidan Shah belt (Punjab Salt Range, Eocene geology) is the historic producer for cement-grade rock with consistent CaSO₄·2H₂O content above 85%. Kohat (KP) hosts cleaner sedimentary horizons that yield plaster-grade rock (≥ 90%) and premium feed (≥ 92%). Quetta (Balochistan) produces mixed grades. All material is crushed and screened on site; SGS or Bureau Veritas assays accompany each lot.

FAQ +

What's the difference between cement-grade and plaster-grade rock?

Cement-grade gypsum rock (CaSO₄·2H₂O ≥ 85%) is run-of-mine material used at ~5% addition in Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) clinker grinding to control set time. Plaster-grade rock (≥ 90%) requires higher purity to calcine cleanly into β-hemihydrate (plaster of Paris) at 120–180 °C. Premium lumps (≥ 92%) feed dental-plaster and food-grade calcium sulfate production.

Where is your gypsum rock sourced from?

Three Pakistani deposits: Khewra-Choa Saidan Shah belt (Punjab Salt Range — Eocene), Kohat (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — sedimentary gypsum beds), and Quetta (Balochistan). Pakistan's gypsum production is estimated at ~1–2 Mt/yr with hundreds of millions of tonnes of total reserves across the three provinces.

What about FGD synthetic gypsum competition?

Flue-gas desulfurization (FGD) synthetic gypsum is displacing natural gypsum in European and US drywall markets, where coal-plant capacity generates large by-product volumes. In South Asian markets (India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka), FGD capacity is minimal — Pakistani natural gypsum remains the dominant supply for regional cement and plaster industries.

What's typical export packaging?

Cement-grade rock ships in 25 MT bulk containers FOB Karachi. Plaster-grade and premium rock ships in 1 t jumbo bags inside 20 ft containers. Lead time 3–4 weeks from confirmed PO. Independent assays for CaSO₄·2H₂O content, free moisture, and gypsum-anhydrite ratio accompany every cargo.
