Own Mining Leases — Waziristan, Pakistan

Bare Syndicate's copper operations are anchored in the Waziristan region of South Waziristan, Pakistan, where we hold five mining leases totaling 2,852 acres within one of the country's most geologically promising porphyry copper belts. Our flagship operational site — an 820-acre concession with an estimated 9.9 million metric tonnes of copper deposit at 0.37% Cu — operates at 1,000 TPD capacity with ongoing expansion plans. The region's geological profile features significant porphyry copper-molybdenum deposits associated with Cretaceous-age intrusive rocks, with both supergene oxide zones (malachite, azurite) near surface and primary sulfide mineralization (chalcopyrite, bornite, chalcocite) at depth. Our vertically integrated approach — from geological exploration and blast-hole drilling through extraction, crushing, grinding, flotation concentration, and export — ensures full supply chain control and quality traceability. Four additional leases totaling 2,032 acres are currently under advanced exploration, with geological mapping and sampling indicating comparable mineralization potential. All operations are connected via established logistics corridors to Karachi port for international delivery to smelters across China, Japan, and Europe.

FAQ +

What is copper ore used for?

Copper ore is used to produce copper metal, which is essential for electrical wiring and cables (60% of demand), construction (plumbing, roofing), electronics, renewable energy systems (wind/solar), electric vehicles, and telecommunications.

Does Bare Syndicate mine its own copper?

Yes. We operate copper mining leases totaling 2,852 acres in the Waziristan region of Pakistan, with one operational mine (820 acres, 1,000 TPD capacity) and four additional leases under exploration.

What copper ore grades are available?

We offer high-grade chalcopyrite (20–30% Cu), oxide ore (10–20% Cu) for hydrometallurgical extraction, and export-ready concentrates (25–35% Cu) suitable for direct smelter feed.

What is the estimated copper deposit at your Waziristan operations?

Our primary operational lease spans 820 acres with an estimated deposit of 9.9 million metric tonnes at 0.37% Cu grade, supported by four additional exploration leases covering over 2,000 additional acres.

Why is copper demand expected to grow significantly?

The global energy transition is driving unprecedented copper demand. Each electric vehicle requires 3–4x more copper than a conventional car. A single wind turbine uses 3–5 tonnes of copper, and solar installations require 4–5 tonnes per MW. The IEA projects copper demand could double by 2040, creating a significant supply deficit and supporting long-term price strength.

What is the difference between sulfide and oxide copper ores?

Sulfide ores (chalcopyrite, bornite) are processed through froth flotation to produce concentrates, then smelted. Oxide ores (malachite, azurite) are processed through heap leaching and solvent extraction-electrowinning (SX-EW). Sulfide ores are more common at depth, while oxide ores occur near the surface. Bare Syndicate supplies both types from our Waziristan operations.
